The Telluride Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of year round programs for youth and adults in Town Park, at the school gyms, up in the Bear Creek Preserve, and at the Youth Link. Telluride Town Park consists of 36 acres of landscaped public park and festival grounds.  We also manage 380 acres of ajacent open space land up in Bear Creek. This year is the 14th Anniversary of the Bear Creek Preserve.

Our staff provides assistance to the Commission for Community Assistance, Arts and Special Events (CCAASE) and the Parks and Recreation Commission. Our department also manages and approves the applications for Town Park core area reservations, Hanley Rink reservations, banners, street closures, and pocket park reservations.

Our Parks Division maintains the ballfields, ice rinks, cross-country trails, pocket parks, flower baskets, holiday decorations and our campground. They also keep the Free Box clean, manage Spring Clean-up, and organize the Arbor Day Celebration.
