In 1887, three years before the railroad arrived in Telluride, Dave Wood's Freighting Outfit was photographed on Colorado Avenue. Ox teams pulled seven covered wagons laden with large-diameter pipe destined for the S&M Mill. The photograph was taken by Harry Wright at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Pine Street, looking to the southwest. Courtesy Telluride Historical Museum.
