PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
It gets slippery out there!
Snow on sidewalks quickly becomes ice on sidewalks. The Town of Telluride Municipal Code requires that "every owner, occupant or agent ("responsible person") of a building, structure, property or lot ("premise") within the Town shall remove from all sidewalks abutting, adjoining, or fronting the premises, all snow and ice within twelve (12) hours after it accumulates thereon."
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOU HAVE FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS FROM THE DATE AND TIME OF THIS NOTICE TO CLEAN THE SIDEWALK.
AFTER THIS TIME THE TOWN MAY CLEAR THE SIDEWALK FOR YOU AND RECOVER THE COSTS THEREOF, PURSUANT TO THE TELLURIDE MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 12.04.090.B, 12.04.090.C AND 12.04.090.D INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMIMTED TO AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE OF UP TO TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($25) AND A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
Please, make sure your sidewalk is cleared. Let’s confine our slipping and sliding to skiing and skating.
