The mission of the Commission for Community Assistance, Arts and Special Events (CCAASE) is to develop, maintain, and encourage an environment conducive to the following community organizations:
1) Arts and Special Events Organizations- non-profit arts organization and special events.
2) Community Support Organizations- non-profit community programs for citizen welfare and education.
CCAASE's duties include the following:
1) CCAASE establishes and maintains a yearly calendar of events.
The deadline to apply for a 2011 CCAASE Calendar Date
is Friday, May 7th, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
2011 date applications will still be accepted for consideration by CCAASE at a regularly scheduled meeting following this deadline.

2) CCAASE recommends annual funding allocations to the Town Council for community non-profit organizations and special events.
The 2011 grant deadline is 5:00 pm MST on Monday, September 27, 2010.

In 1996, the Town adopted a Cultural Master Plan.
The Plan provides an overview of Telluride's arts and culture, identifies key issues and concerns, and addresses economic issues related to cultural activities.
