The development of affordable housing has long been an important goal of the Town of Telluride.  Access to affordable housing for our resident workers is one of the most important elements in the preservation of community. Telluride trys to balance the development of affordable housing between the need for rental opportunities and purchase opportunities. The five phases of the Shandoka project are an important element in the affordable rental pool within the Town of Telluride. Purchase opportunites are addressed through Wilkin Court, the Family Housing project and most recently with the completion of the Mendota Town Home Project.  For further information on affordable housing in the Telluride region see the link below to our San Miguel Regional Housing Authority.
