   The Hanley Rink in Town Park
  • A fully enclosed, refrigerated NHL size hockey rink
  • Ice Rink Season dates: October 18, 2020 - March 10, 2021 Facility is OPEN

COVID-19 Protocols:
            o  Limited Capacity
            o  Face masks are required for all persons at all times while inside the facility
             o  Online registration required, no drop-in
             o  Spectators will not be allowed
             o  Accessible areas of the facility will be limited
             o  Additional facility sanitization and cleaning will occur between programming                        (maintenance slots were increased from 15 minutes to 30 minutes)
             o  Mechanical improvements and adjustments will be implemented to increase
                 ventilation and improve air filtration
             o  Operations are subject to change to comply with public health guidance
                 and regulations


Outdoor - Two outdoor rinks available this year!

COVID-19 Protocols:
  • Limited capacity - no reservations, first come first served
  • Public use is free of charge
  • Observe the minimum recommended physical distancing of 6 feet from members of other households
  • Face masks are encouraged and required when unbale to maintain a six foot separation from others not of their own household for more than five minutes (Telluride Emergency Ordinance 1512)
  • Spectators are discouraged
  • Personal gatherings are prohibited
  • Facility use will be temporarily prohibited by anyone if they, or if anyone in their household, has been diagnosed, been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed, or have had COVID symptoms in the past 14 days
  • Do not use this facility if you or anyone in your household are experiencing symptoms
  • Follow CDC's guidance on personal hygiene prior to and during use of facility
The Core Area Hockey Ice Rink is OPEN for the 2020/21 season 
  • Open Daily; 9:00 AM-9:00 PM for public ice hockey and Hockey Club practices

OUTDOOR HOCKEY RINK RULES

  • Required Equipment: helmets (youth helmets must have cages), shin guards, gloves, and elbow
    pads are required.  Full pads are highly recommended
  • Pucks must stay on the ice surface and may not travel into adjacent walkways
  • No more than 10 skaters per divided section of the ice sheet
  • No slap shots & no body contact (e.g. checking)
  • All persons must conduct themselves in a manner so as not to cause harm to themselves or others
  • Persons violating any personal conduct regulations, whether written or verbal, will be subject to eviction or other disciplinary action
  • Know your abilities and skate within them.  Respect the varied ability levels of others
  • No persons may enter the ice surface while Parks & Rec equipment is on the ice.
  • All dogs must be on a leash.
  • The Parks and Recreation Department is not responsible for items left at the rink
  • The following items are prohibited:
    • Glass
    • Wood fires
    • Items that might create hazardous conditions
    • Use of sticks or pucks outside of the playing surface
    • Smoking within 15 feet of a public building
    • Unauthorized vending and advertising
    • Food or drink on the ice surface

  • Lawful use and possession of alcohol under the Telluride Municipal Code is limited by Ordinance #1379 to between 10:00 AM & 9:00 PM during the following scheduled activities: 
    • Adult recreational programs (participants & spectators)
    • Private functions, and
    • Special events
      * Prohibited anytime on the skating surface & during youth recreational programs
  The Volleyball Court Ice Skating Rink is OPEN for the 2020/21 season
  • Hours are daily 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM for public ice skating and Figure Skating practices

OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK RULES:

  • Capacity of 25 people at a time on the ice for public ice skating
  • The following items are prohibited:
    • Glass
    • Wood fires
    • Pucks on the ice during public skating
    • Items that might create hazardous conditions
    • Smoking inside the building or within 15 feet of public building
    • Unauthorized vending and advertising
    • Food or drink on the ice surface
  • No persons may enter the ice surface while equipment is on the ice.
  • All persons must conduct themselves in a manner so as not to cause harm to themselves or others
  • Persons violating any personal conduct regulations, whether written or verbal, will be subject to eviction without a refund or other disciplinary action
  • Know your abilities and skate within them.  Respect the varied ability levels of others
  • Lawful use and possession of alcohol under the Telluride Municipal Code is limited by Ordinance #1379 to between 10:00 am & 9:00 pm during the following scheduled activities:
