As Chief Administrative Officer, the Town Manager exercises supervision over all executive and administrative departments, Town's major operations, and facilitates the development of the annual budget, and the Council goals and objectives each year.
The ideal candidate is committed to the council-manager form of government, doing their part to foster and facilitate appropriate roles and responsibilities on both sides, to ensure the timely delivery of complete information Council needs to make decisions. They are proactive, engaged and receptive to ideas from all quarters; someone with high emotional intelligence, who listens with expert-level, inward-and-outward facing communication skills, and the ability to say "no" firmly, but diplomatically. The successful candidate has strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motive, develop and inspire every Town employee and maintain effective relationships with regional partners.
