Town Council - August 23, 2022 - Summary of Key Decisions
(August 23, 2022) - Telluride, Colorado - Town Manager Scott Robson started today’s meeting with a progress report on the Town of Telluride’s 2022 Goals and Objectives and development of the 2023 Goals and Objectives with the key categories of focus consisting of 1). Preserving Community, 2). Protecting Health and Quality of Life, 3). Addressing Critical Infrastructure Needs, and 4). Cultivating Economic Sustainability & a Successful Commercial Core. Council’s input today will be integrated into the 2023 draft and presented again for potential adoption at the September 13th Council meeting.
Next, during a Work Session, the Historical Planning Director Jonna Wensel presented proposed amendments to the Town of Telluride’s land use code revising HARC classification of future applications, possible changes to HARC’s review and recommendation authority outside the National Historic Landmark District boundary, along with potential changes to the size of the acting board. Staff will return in September to Council with modified recommendations based on Council input.
Town Council voted unanimously to amend the 2022 Municipal Budget to accommodate certain unexpended budget line-item amounts and authorized the sale of Longwill 16 condominium unit B3.
Town Manager Scott Robson reported on an upcoming Colorado Association of Ski Towns (CAST) summer meeting in Salida as well as gave a brief regional housing update.
