Stage 1 Fire Restrictions In Effect
Fire restrictions are in effect across San Miguel County, including U.S. Forest Service & Bureau of Land Management property in the county.
NO FIRES except in a permanent constructed fire grate in a developed campground, recreation site, or improved site.
- Gas and propane grills are permitted as long as there is an “on-off”switch for flames.
NO SMOKING except in an enclosed vehicle, trailer, or building or on paved, hard-scape areas in compliance with applicable clean air acts.
- All cigarette butts must be fully extinguished and disposed of in a receptacle designed for cigarette butts.
NO FIREWORKS of any kind.
