Silver Jack Parking Garage Payment System Implemented
Council approves rate increase to $2 per hour to align with standard Town parking rates
(June 13, 2023) – Telluride, CO --- The Town of Telluride’s Public Works Department has implemented a new parking payment system in the Silver Jack Parking Garage on Pacific Avenue and Fir Street below the new Ah Haa School for the Arts and Silver Jack residential building. The new payment system will go live tomorrow, Wednesday, June 14.
During today’s regular meeting of the Telluride Town Council, a rate increase was approved to increase hourly parking rates in the Silver Jack garage from $1.50 to $2.00 per hour, which is the current rate for paid parking throughout the Town of Telluride.
Silver Jack garage parking will cost $2.00 per hour through a text-to-pay system or by scanning a QR posted throughout the garage and entering their license plate number. Overnight parking will cost $50 plus the hourly rate for the duration of the parking stay. The Town plans to install a pay station in the garage for credit card processing in the coming weeks.
The garage system will photograph each vehicle’s license plate as it enters to document the length of a parking stay. A fifteen-minute grace period will allow drivers to find an available spot and pay for the duration of their parking period. When the grace period concludes, drivers that have not paid will automatically be billed for the time they are in the garage plus a $30 citation for failure to pay. For any vehicle that has not paid for parking, citations may be issued on-site by an officer or mailed to the mailing address associated with the license plate.
