[ARCHIVED] Telluride Marshal’s Department Investigates Local Teacher for Possession of Child Pornography

Telluride Marshal’s Department Investigates Local Teacher for Possession of Child Pornography

ICAC investigation results in probable cause for search warrants to seize additional evidence

(April 20, 2024) – Telluride, CO --- The Telluride Marshal’s Department received information from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Program indicating that local teacher Brandon Baker was in possession of Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM), commonly referred to as child pornography. 

Based on the ICAC investigation, the Telluride Marshal’s Department developed probable cause to obtain search warrants for possession of child pornography and served the warrants at Baker’s residence today. 

Baker was detained and taken to the Telluride Marshal’s Department for questioning while additional evidence was seized. He was later released. 

At this time, there is no evidence indicating that child sexual abuse (CSA) or child molestation as immediate concerns.

The parents of all students have been notified and no additional information surrounding this active investigation will be released at this time. 

The Telluride Marshals will continue to work tirelessly and are relentless in these investigations where the most vulnerable members of our society are targeted and victimized. El Departamento de Alguaciles de Telluride investiga a un profesor local por posesión de pornografía infantil

(20 de avril de 2024) - Telluride, CO --- El Departamento del Alguacil de Telluride recibió información del Programa de Delitos contra la Infancia en Internet (ICAC) Task Force indicando que el maestro local Brandon Baker estaba en posesión de Material de Asalto Sexual Infantil (CSAM), comúnmente conocida como pornografía infantil.

Sobre la base de la investigación ICAC, el Departamento de Telluride Marshal desarrollado causa probable para obtener órdenes de registro por posesión de pornografía infantil y sirvió las órdenes en la residencia de Baker hoy.
