2024 Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive announced
Residents and visitors can ride, drive and interact with electric vehicles on Friday, October 11
(October 1, 2024) – Telluride, CO --- The Towns of Telluride and Mountain Village, in collaboration with Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) and EcoAction Partners, are pleased to announce an Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride and Drive event on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in Telluride at the Carhenge Parking Lot.
The community is invited to explore the latest in electric vehicle technology through free test drives, live demonstrations and hands-on learning. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to interact with EV owners, who will share their experiences and insights into driving electric. Additionally, participants can explore electric vehicles from the Towns of Telluride and Mountain Village’s fleets to see how local governments are embracing this technology.
Experts from 4CORE, EcoAction Partners and San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) will be on-site to provide information on state and federal financial incentives for purchasing electric vehicles and installing charging stations. They will also share details about SMPA’s rebate programs, making the switch to electric even more accessible and affordable.
“We are excited to offer our residents and visitors a chance to learn more about electric vehicles and experience them firsthand,” said Lauren Kirn, environmental efficiencies and grant coordinator for the Town of Mountain Village. “Our goal is to provide the community with information on how EVs can help lower emissions, save money and contribute to a sustainable future for the region.”

Residentes y visitantes podrán montar, conducir e interactuar con vehículos eléctricos el viernes 11 de octubre
(1 de octubre de 2024) - Telluride, CO --- Los Ayuntamientos de Telluride y Mountain Village, en colaboración con Four Corners Office for Resource Efficiency (4CORE) y EcoAction Partners, se complacen en anunciar un evento de Paseo y Conducción de Vehículos Eléctricos (EV) el viernes 11 de octubre de 2024, de 10 a.m. a 2 p.m. El evento tendrá lugar en Telluride en el Parking Carhenge.
La comunidad está invitada a explorar lo último en tecnología de vehículos eléctricos a través de pruebas de conducción gratuitas, demostraciones en vivo y aprendizaje práctico. Los asistentes tendrán la oportunidad única de interactuar con propietarios de vehículos eléctricos, que compartirán sus experiencias y conocimientos sobre la conducción eléctrica. Además, los participantes podrán explorar los vehículos eléctricos de las flotas de los Ayuntamientos de Telluride y Mountain Village para ver cómo los gobiernos locales están adoptando esta tecnología.
