Pacific Avenue to Be Closed Intermittently from Spruce to Willow

VooDoo cement work to begin today, Monday, September 18

(September 18, 2023) – Telluride, CO --- The Town of Telluride and Shaw Construction will close Pacific Avenue from Spruce to Willow intermittently beginning Monday, September 18. For the safety of the public, no parking, limited through traffic, and full street closures on Pacific from Spruce to Willow for about two weeks. The road closures are expected to end on Friday, September 29.

Additionally, all water and sewer taps, manhole and waterline abandonments will be conducted on Pacific during this time. Neighboring residents and visitors should expect intermittent closures blocking vehicular access to the perpendicular alley, including to some parking areas.

The alley behind the project will be open along with the sidewalk on the south elevation of Pacific. For access to the Post Office, Telluride Farmer’s Market, and Town Park throughout the closure, please consider alternate routes or human-powered modes of transportation.

The Voodoo Affordable Housing Project will provide opportunities for middle to upper-middle-income individuals and families that presently have fewer rental options in the current rental portfolio. The project will involve the construction of 27 rental units along with ground floor commercial space, a public restroom, and a new Free Box, which were not part of the grant application. Construction has a planned completion date of September 1, 2024.

The Voodoo Affordable Housing Project continues with construction updates being posted on the Town of Telluride’s Engage website at bit.ly/totvoodoo.
