Compost Program in Partnership with Bruin Waste Management

As part of the Town of Telluride’s Climate Action Plan, we are excited to partner with Bruin Waste Management to offer curbside compost collection. This service is available to HOAs, businesses, and schools in the Town, providing a convenient way to manage organic waste like food scraps, coffee grounds, yard waste, and more.

• Reduces landfill waste and methane emissions.
• Enriches soil with nutrients.
• Conserves water by improving soil moisture retention.
• Cuts down on the need for chemical fertilizers.
• Supports local ecosystems and reduces carbon footprints.

The Town of Telluride received a USDA grant to fund rebates for local businesses and HOAs signing up for a 12-month composting contract. By joining the program, you'll reduce landfill use, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and promote a sustainable, eco-conscious future for our community.
