Home Rule


The Town of Telluride is a home rule municipality. The Mayor and six council members are elected for four-year terms. The Mayor and Town Council members do not have offices at Town Hall.

The Town Council meeting schedule is set at the end of the year for the next calendar year. They are held approximately every third Tuesday at Rebekah Hall, 113 West Columbia Avenue.

The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1471 An Ordinance Of The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Amending The 2018 Municipal Budget To Reappropriate Certain Unexpended 2017 Budget Line Item Amounts, Making Supplemental Appropriations From Existing Fund Balances To Various Accounts, And Making Supplemental Appropriations From Revenue In Excess Of Those Estimated In The 2018 Budget  At The Town Council Regular Meeting On September 04, 2018. Ordinance 1471 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall.

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the Liquor Laws of the State of Colorado, Telluride Grocery, Inc. dba Clark’s Market (CEO Joseph Thomas Clark, 501 Sopris Creek Rd, Basalt, CO 81621, President Joseph Thomas Clark Jr., 1044 Horse Ranch Dr, Snowmass Village, CO 81615, Secretary David John Clark, 513 Sopris Creek Rd, Basalt, CO 81621) is requesting that the Telluride Town Council, acting as the Liquor Licensing Authority, grant a Colorado Fermented Malt Beverage (3.2% Beer) Off Premises license for use at 700 West Colorado Avenue, Telluride, Colorado. The hearing on the above application will be heard on September 04, 2018 at a meeting to begin at 10:00 am at Rebekah Hall, 113 W Columbia, Telluride, Colorado.  The application was filed on June 19, 2018.  Remonstrances may be filed at Town Hall, 135 W Columbia, or mailed to the Town of Telluride, Town Clerk, PO Box 397, Telluride, CO 81435.
