Home Rule


The Town of Telluride is a home rule municipality. The Mayor and six council members are elected for four-year terms. The Mayor and Town Council members do not have offices at Town Hall.

The Town Council  2020 Meeting Calendar is set at the end of the year for the next calendar year. Meetings are held approximately every third Tuesday at Rebekah Hall, 113 West Columbia Avenue.

The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1518 An Ordinance Of The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride Authorizing The Town To Enter Into A Lease Financing To Refinance Certain Outstanding Certificates Of Participation, Series 2010; Authorizing Documents In Connection Therewith; Setting Forth Parameters And Restrictions With Respect To The Lease Financing; And Providing For Other Matters Related Thereto At The Regular Meeting On October 27, 2020.  Ordinance #1518 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall.


The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1519  An Ordinance Authorizing The Issuance Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado, General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2020; Providing For The Levy Of General Ad Valorem Taxes To Pay The Principal Of And Interest On The Bonds; Providing For The Refunding Of Certain Of The Town’s Outstanding General Obligation Bonds To Achieve Interest Rate Savings; And Providing Certain Covenants And Other Details And Provisions In Connection Therewith   At The Regular Meeting On October 27, 2020.  Ordinance #1519 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall. 


The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Passed Ordinance #1520 An Ordinance Of The Town Council Of The Town Of Telluride, Colorado Amending Telluride Municipal Code Chapter 13 Article 4 Cross Connection Control To Be Consistent With State Of Colorado Requirements    At The Regular Meeting On October 27, 2020.  Ordinance #1520 Shall Become Effective Upon The Date Of Publication Of Notice Of Its Passage, And Copies Of The New Ordinance Are Available At Town Hall Or Online At https://www.telluride-co.gov/89/Mayor-Town-Council. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on or after December 1, 2020, the Town Council of the Town of Telluride, Colorado, expects to enter into a lease financing to refinance certain outstanding Certificates of Participation, Series 2010, in order to achieve an interest rate savings.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on or after December 1, 2020, the Town Council of the Town of Telluride, Colorado, expects to issue its General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2020, to refund, pay and discharge its outstanding Taxable General Obligation Bonds (Direct Pay Build America Bonds), Series 2010B, in order to achieve an interest rate savings.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on or after December 1, 2020, the Town Council of the Town of Telluride, Colorado, expects to issue its Taxable Sales Tax Revenue Refunding Bonds (Affordable Housing Project), Series 2020, to refund, pay and discharge its outstanding Taxable Sales Tax Revenue Bonds (Affordable Housing Project), Series 2009, in order to achieve an interest rate savings.
