We have configured our camping software to optimize our campsites by site type to maximize our occupancy and reduce the need to piece meal together a reservation. At the time of the initial search, the system is searching all options to make that request happen. If you choose to piece meal a reservation together outside of the system optimizing, your reservation cannot be altered. All internal moves must check-in with the Campground Attendant between 2-3pm on the day of the internal move, no exceptions.

A Group Booking is defined as multiple bookings made by the same individual for the same nights for multiple campsites.
Due to the incredibly high demand; Group Bookings are NOT permitted.
PLEASE NOTE: Multiple reservations/bookings made on the same confirmation number cannot be cancelled or modified online.
An individual camper can stay a maximum of 7 nights in a 30 day period of time and a maximum of 14 days for the entire season.
A maximum of 6 people at a vehicle campsite (Premium and Standard) and 4 people at a primitive walk-in campsite are permitted. Limiting the amount of usage on a site helps prevent erosion of the campsite. If you have more than the maximum number of people allowed, another site will need to be booked if available.

Parking is very limited in the Town of Telluride and last minute options can be very expensive, so please plan accordingly:

Reservations cannot be resold; however if you want to transfer your reservation, please make sure that the PRE online check-in information reflects the arriving camper and vehicle information.
When checking in on-site with the Campground Attendant, arriving camper(s) must provide the last name on the original reservation.

No, street parking is your best option for a longer combined length rig. Across the street from the town park entrance along the river facing west is the closest option. If you drive past the town park entrance to the other side of the east end community use that bus turnaround and come back into any available spaces.
Check-out time is by 2:00 pm MT on your scheduled departure date. Failure to check-out on time will potentially impact arriving campers.
The Parks and Recreation staff will not provide any camper information.
Quiet hours at the campground are from 10:00 pm until 8:00 am daily. Please be courteous of your camping neighbors.

Yes, dogs are welcome in the Town Park Campground during our normal campground operations. We ask that dogs be kept on leashes while in the Campground and not left unattended. Please no livestock in the Campground.

The campground is located on the east end of the Town of Telluride only a couple of blocks from the edge of the commercial district. The Galloping Goose is a town loop free shuttle bus that will pick up just outside the main entrance to the Town Park.
Your Campground Attendant or the P&R staff at the Town Park Info Center will be a good sources for local information and trail maps. Additional information is available at the Telluride Visitors Center located next to Elks Park on Colorado Avenue.
It is unlawful for any person to camp or sleep overnight in or on any Town-owned park, open space or other public property, or remain within or on such lands beyond the hours of authorized public access or use. Town Ordinance (7-2-40 & 10-4-60), fines may apply. Camping on private property would be permissible after obtaining permission from the property owners.
