What do I do if my vehicle has been booted?
Do not tamper with the boot, or attempt to operate your vehicle with this device attached. It will cause damage to your vehicle! Contact the Marshal's Department at (970) 728-3818, or come to our offices at 134 South Spruce Street. You will be provided with a detailed list of the outstanding and overdue parking violations for the vehicle. The overdue fines will have to be paid prior to the release of the vehicle. A boot fee will also be imposed, although this is usually less than the cost of a vehicle impound fee. Vehicles that remain booted for greater than 72 hours will be towed and held in a police impound lot pending payment of parking fines. Daily storage fees shall accrue after the first 24 hours of impoundment.
