2026 Campground Blackout Dates:
(The festivals will be managing the campground during these times. To stay at the campground during these dates you must be attending the festival and obtain camping passes through the festival. NO pets are permitted in the campground during festivals.):

General Reservation Information:
- Maximum Night Stay is seven (7) nights in a 30-day period/individual
- Maximum number of nights/season not to exceed 14 total nights /individual
- Reservations are set to be optimized by our software at the time of the initial search and will automatically lock in 3 days prior to your arrival. In the event of an optimization, the site type will remain the same (Premium, Standard, Tent), and the site length will not decrease (30', 25', 20'). Accurate vehicle size required at time of booking in the event of system optimization
- If you opt to piece together a reservation that requires you to move internally to a different site during your stay, the system cannot optimize your reservation, nor can the P&R staff modify/alter your reservation. If you are moving to another campsite during your stay, please coordinate with the P&R office staff between the hours of 8:30-4:30 daily.
- Resale of campsites is prohibited. If you need to transfer your reservation, the reservation and all related messaging will remain in your name. You will be responsible for communicating all information and messages to the arriving campers.
- Due to high demand, despite the group booking option displaying prior to checkout in Campspot, only one site per individual per day is allowed. If you are planning a group event, each arriving party should book their own campsite. This will be audited by P&R staff, and any group bookings will result in automatic cancellation(s).
IMPORTANT RESERVATION TIPS:
- Use Google Chrome for best results
- To initiate a search, you must enter at least one adult or one senior (63+).
- When booking your reservation, remember that your campsite is not secure until you have received your reservation confirmation via email.
- Open the link on your reservation confirmation to double check reservation details.
- Campsites will sell out within minutes of each booking window opening for peak dates. We recommend that you check back later in the morning on opening days for sites that may have become available.
- If you have flexible travel plans, the beginning and end of our camping season may offer more options.
- Multiple reservations created on the same confirmation number cannot be cancelled online, this will require assistance from the P&R staff.
- Individual site photos are not available in Campspot, only site types.
- Reservations made on booking window opening days can be cancelled online and will be subject to all applicable cancellation fees.

Cancellation Policy/Refunds:
Online Cancellation criteria (per Campspot):
- Must be canceled on or before the arrival date
- Must have a single credit card used for all payments on the reservation
- The credit card on file must be valid at the time of cancellation
Campers may cancel their reservation online by accessing their reservation confirmation through Campspot.
(NOTE: exception would be multiple bookings on a single confirmation)
- Standard cancellations
- Reservations can be cancelled online through your reservation link up until 11:59 pm (MT Time) the day before your scheduled arrival date and a $10 cancellation fee will be withheld from your refund amount.
- For example, if your arrival/check-in date is May 12th, you can cancel online until 11:59 pm (MT) on May 11th and a $10 fee will be withheld from your refund amount.
- Reservations can be cancelled online through your reservation link up until 11:59 pm (MT Time) the day before your scheduled arrival date and a $10 cancellation fee will be withheld from your refund amount.
- Same -day Cancellations
- Same-day cancellations can be canceled online through your reservation link. Same-day cancellations forfeit the first night’s reservation fees and a refund will be processed for the remaining nights.
- For example, if your arrival/check-in date is May 12th and you cancel anytime on May 12th, the first night’s reservation fee will be forfeited.

- No Call No Show (cannot be cancelled online - managed through the P&R Office)
- All campers who do not show up for their reservation by check-out time of 2:00 pm the day after scheduled arrival AND the P&R Office has not been notified of a delayed arrival, the remainder of the reservation will be forfeited and no refund will be processed.
- For example, if you were scheduled to arrive on May 12th for 3:00 pm MT check-in and you do not arrive by 2:00 pm MT May 13th (for a multiple night stay), the remainder of your reservation will be forfeited.
- All campers who do not show up for their reservation by check-out time of 2:00 pm the day after scheduled arrival AND the P&R Office has not been notified of a delayed arrival, the remainder of the reservation will be forfeited and no refund will be processed.
- Early Departures (managed through the P&R Office):
- Campers who depart the grounds early will forfeit that departure night and the remainder of the reservation (if any) may be refunded only if campsites can be resold.

Vehicle Sites (Premium & Standard):
- All arriving units must have a license plate (tagged). Only two (2) tagged units are permitted per campsite. NO OVERFLOW PARKING. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Only ONE (1) RV unit is permitted per vehicle campsite (some Sprinter style vans are considered RV's).
- No single unit (bumper to bumper) OR unit (tongue to bumper) can exceed 30' in length; please note that site size restrictions apply.
- Individual campsites have vehicle size restrictions specific to site layout and size. If your unit does not fit within the site limitations, you may be turned away. Please plan accordingly.
- Slide-outs are not recommended for all sites.
- A maximum of 6 people per vehicle site
- Motorcycles (two motorcycles equal one vehicle license plate per site). Unlicensed OHV's are not permitted on the streets of Telluride.
Tent campsites:
- Parking is a short walk across the bridge from the tent camping sites.
- Tent sites only have parking available across the bridge for one standard size vehicle (18' max), or 2 motorcycles per reserved campsite, no trailers, RV's or Vans are permitted.
- There is no additional/overflow parking available in Town Park, so please plan accordingly.
- No sleeping is permitted in the tent site car parking area.
- A maximum of 4 people per tent site.
- Campers must camp in their designated campsites only.
Campground Attendant:
- The campground attendant is on-duty and on-site for check-in's from 3:00 pm- 9:00 pm MT.
- The Campground Attendant lives on-site and is here to enforce the Campground Rules and
Regulations as stated within.
PLEASE NOTE: Our Campground Attendant is on duty daily from 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm. If you need assistance prior to 2:00 pm, please contact the P&R Info Center Staff between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm at (970) 728-2173. After hours, please contact the Marshal at (970) 249-9110.
CAMPGROUND MAP:
Check-in (3:00 pm daily):
- Prior to arriving on-site, you will receive an email reminder of your arrival and a request to PRE Check-in online (PRE check-in online is required for all arriving campers and does not replace on-site check-in with the Campground Attendant). This PRE check-in process provides our team with the arriving camper information in addition to vehicle information to expedite your on-site check-in with the Campground Attendant.
- On-site check-in is NOT possible with the Campground Attendant until the Terms and Conditions have been signed and online PRE check-in has been completed.
- Once the online PRE check-in is completed, no changes can be made to the reservation. This includes adding or changing camper names or vehicle license plate information. Please plan accordingly and make sure all details are accurate before submitting.
- ALL arriving campers MUST check in on-site with our Campground Attendant between the hours of 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
- No early arrivals, no exceptions!
- LATE Arrival: If you will be arriving after 9:00 pm on your scheduled arrival day, please call the Parks and Recreation Office between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm MT at (970) 728-2173, so your reservation is not forfeited due to No Call No Show (NCNS).
Check-out (2:00 pm daily):
- Check-out is no later than 2:00 pm on the scheduled departure date. Please note that we have a very tight turnover window to make sure each site is cleaned and ready for the arriving campers.
- NEW! Please deposit your car permit in the drop box at our Campground Attendant's campsite when you check-out.
- NEW! INTERNAL MOVE: If you are moving to another campsite during your stay, please coordinate with the P&R office staff between the hours of 8:30-4:30 daily.
General Facility Information:
- Restroom/Shower Facility - all-in-one facility on-site includes restrooms, showers, dishwashing station, trash and recycling.
- Shower Facility is Token Operated:
- Each token is valued at $1.00 which equates to 75 seconds of hot water
(...in case you were digging for your calculator: $4.00 = 5 minutes of hot water). - The token machines are bill to token (no coins or credit cards accepted)). Please note that the machine will dispense the amount in tokens that you insert bills for and the office is not set up to refund for tokens.
- Each token is valued at $1.00 which equates to 75 seconds of hot water
- Shower Facility is Token Operated:
- Under no circumstance should fresh/gray/black water be dumped on the ground.
(There is a dishwashing station on the south side of the restroom/shower building). - Our campsites do not offer electric hook-ups. The closest campground with electric is Matterhorn
- Water is available for on-site campers only via spigot (you must have your own hose).
- There is no dump station in the campground, arrangements must be made with the Waste Water Treatment Plant for dumping. Recommend dumping prior to arriving in the area.
- Generators are only permitted from 3:00 pm (check-in time) until 6:00 pm daily, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please plan accordingly.
- Important Note: Idling is illegal per a local ordinance. It is illegal to idle for more than 30 seconds anywhere in the
Town of Telluride (3 minutes are permitted on a cold morning). - NO WOOD BURNING-EVER
(charcoal grills are provided at all vehicle sites for charcoal only). Small propane grills with an on and off switch are permitted. - Campground quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 8:00 am. Please be respectful of your neighbors.
- Please do not cut off tree branches for any reason; contact campground attendant if you need assistance
- NO nails, screws, ropes, or lines permitted to be tied or inserted into trees or shrubs
- Please only use straps to secure your hammocks to the trees
- Do not tie your trash bags in the trees. Trash receptacles and recycle containers are available at the
Restroom Facility
- Vending in the campground or in Town Park is prohibited
- Visitors are permitted at your campsite; however, visitors must park legally in the Town Park main parking lot (not in designated recreation parking areas)
- No drones or aerial devices allowed in Town Park/Campground
- Do not bike or walk-through other campsites to access trails or other Town Park features
- Electric bikes, scooters, one-wheels, etc are motorized vehicles; please observe all trail signage
- Speed limit in Town Park/Campground is 7 mph
- All registered vehicles, campers and tents must be contained within the designated campsite and not impacting surrounding vegetation and roadway. Do not remove any posts, boulders, native vegetation, or tree branches for any reason
- No overflow or additional parking is available in Town Park or the campground and overnight parking is very limited in the Town of Telluride, so please plan accordingly
- Truck Camper units must remain on the truck
Pets:
- Must be always on a leash in the Campground
- Pets must never be left unattended at a campsite
- Please clean up after your pet; compostable poop bags available outside restroom/shower facility
- No livestock permitted in the campground
Wildlife:
- Please, No trash, food remnants, pet food, candles are to be left out at campsites. Please use the communal bear boxes provided to secure these odiferous items. Ask Campground Attendant for assistance.
- Never approach, feed, or entice wildlife
