Youth Activities

The Town of Telluride Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of youth activities and programs throughout the year.



Winter Youth Activities

The Town Park Pavilion/Hanley Rink is OPEN for the 2023 - 2024 SEASON.  The Town Park Pavilion is open from October 11, 2023 to March 6, 2024.  View the Town Park Pavilion/Hanley Rink Calendar for programming schedules.

 

Youth Hockey is offered through the Telluride Lizard Head Hockey Club.  Programming resumed on October 11, 2023.  

Parks & Recreation offers Youth Drop-In Hockey sessions provide an opportunity for kids to play hockey outside of their usual practice times.  Whenever possible, sessions will be split into different age groups (ages 12 & Under or 13 & Older) to accommodate more age-specific programming.  Programming will resume on October 11, 2023.

Figure Skating is offered through the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club.  Programming will resume on October 11, 2023.

Public Skating is scheduled daily and is open to youth and adult participants.  Programming will resume on October 11, 2023.


Summer Youth Activities

Youth Soccer:

  • Youth Soccer programming has concluded for the 2023 Summer Season.
  • The Telluride Parks & Recreation Department hosts programming for Pre-School and Kindergarten aged children beginning in late August and concluding in late September.
    • Local pre-schools participate in private practices during the day; please inquire with your child's pre-school for specific details.
    • After school Pre-School and Kindergarten Soccer takes place in Town Park at 3:30pm.
  • The Telluride Youth Soccer Club offers programming for children in 1st grade through High School.


Youth Baseball

  • Youth Baseball programming has concluded for the 2023 season.
  • Travel Baseball for the 10U, 12U, and 15U age groups is scheduled to begin in mid-April and conclude in early July.  Registration for the 2024 season will open in March 2024.   
  • In-House Baseball including Tee-Ball (Kindergarten and 1st Grade students) and Coach/Machine Pitch (2nd and 3rd Grade students) programs will take place on weekday evenings in May.  Registration for the 2024 season will open in March 2024. 


Swimming Lessons have concluded for the 2023 season.  Registration information for 2024 lessons will be available in April 2024.

The Telluride Torpedoes Swim Team has concluded for the 2023 season.  The next season is scheduled to begin in mid-May 2024.  Program registration will open in April 2024.

Youth Lacrosse programming is offered through the Telluride Youth Lacrosse Association.
