With Telluride’s population swelling during peak visitor seasons, parking demands have grown significantly. The study focused on enhancing operations, increasing turnover in high-demand areas, and addressing enforcement, permit program complexities, and communication gaps. Key recommendations include adjusting metered parking rates to reduce congestion, exploring the expansion of pay-for-use areas, improving signage and wayfinding, and implementing tools such as license plate recognition for enforcement.
