A business that qualifies as a retail establishment or an art gallery may apply for a permit to serve complimentary alcohol beverages up to 24 times a year.
A "retail establishment" is an establishment that has the primary purpose of selling goods or services to the public that: (I) conducts business at a physical building in Colorado; and (II) derives less than fifty percent (50%) of the establishment's gross sales of goods and services from the sale of food.
An "art gallery" is an establishment whose primary purpose is the display and sale of works of fine art and precious or semi-precious metals or stones.
Allow at least 30 days for processing of your application before you plan to begin serving alcohol.
An appearance before the Telluride Liquor Licensing Authority will be required.
